Nurse Educators are registered nurses who work on behalf of Biogen, and many are MS-certified. They are here for your patients who are prescribed a Biogen therapy. Nurse Educators can:

  • Help your patients understand what to expect during treatment
  • Provide patients with supplemental injection training and education
  • Offer mitigation strategies for common side effects of PLEGRIDY
  • Communicate with you about your patients’ start date and any treatment challenges they have expressed

Biogen Case Managers (Support Coordinators) are here to help your patients start and continue on their Biogen therapy. A Biogen Case Manager will reach out to your patients once they are prescribed PLEGRIDY and can:

  • Educate your patients on financial assistance options, including:
    • The Biogen Copay Program, which may lower medication cost to as little as $0 for eligible patients with commercial insurancea
  • Provide patient status updates to your office to help you stay up-to-date with their treatment
  • Investigate patient benefits to help determine the best coverage options for your patients, including assistance with the process of prior authorizations and denied claims

a There is an annual cap on the amount of assistance that patients can receive over a one-year period. Federal and state laws and other factors may prevent or otherwise restrict eligibility. People covered by Medicare, Medicaid, the VA/DoD, or any other federal plans are not eligible to enroll. Patients are eligible to enroll in the Biogen Copay Program for as long as it is offered and they are treated with a Biogen relapsing MS medication.
